This could be as simple as going for a hike, a gallery, or even the library. It’s a great way to find inspiration and to get your creative energy going. You may also want to consider taking a notebook with you to jot down some ideas that may come to you. By removing yourself from the stressed environment you will find that you can think a bit clearer and put your ideas to paper.
Another cause of artist block is you may be bored with your current project. This does happen quite a bit and can be managed. If you find yourself in this position you may want to consider working on something else and coming back to this project at a later time. It will get done and you will be able to finish it with the motivation that you intended to have with it.
Artist block can be frustrating especially if you are on a deadline but it can be overcome with changes in your environment and changes in your attitude.
