The Design Grotto is a culturally creative Christmas event that started at Somerset House in 2007. It featured stalls and workshops from the likes of Johnson Banks, Tatty Devine, Lie-ins and Tigers, If you could…, Robert Archard, Lady Luck Rules OK and Beyond the Valley.

Just under 2,000 people visited the event over two days.

The Design Grotto was created by Jess Bentall and Vicky Simmons, with the help of Claire Catterall and Rob Boon.
